A traditional Maori welcome (powhiri) and demonstrations of Maori arts and crafts can be arranged to make your conference an unforgettable cultural experience. A Concert and Feast experience is also available for group bookings. The experience starts with a traditional powhiri (Maori welcome) with your group guided into our wharenui (meeting house) Manaakitanga Once inside Manaakitanga your group steps into a different world as we celebrate the story of our ancestors' long journey from Hawaiki to Aotearoa hundreds of years ago through Watch in awe as our warriors perform the spine chilling haka and our beautiful wahine (women) display the artistic and graceful movements of the poi. After the show enjoy a traditional New Zealand feast with selection of meats, vegetables, seafood, salads and deserts in our dining room - whare kai. Concerts are only by arrangment for groups of 50 people or more. |
